Private Practice Coaching for Therapists

Build a private practice with clarity,
confidence, and support.

You are capable of building a private practice.

You were just never taught how.

Graduate school prepared you to sit with clients, understand clinical concepts, and help people through some of the hardest moments of their lives.

But it didn’t always prepare you for what comes next:

Building a business.

Amy Basham Coaching helps therapists learn the skills they were never taught so they can build sustainable private practices with confidence—not guesswork.

Whether you are preparing to start your private practice or looking for support as you continue growing, you don’t have to figure out the business side alone.

You became a therapist to help people. But building a practice requires skills you were never taught.

Your clinical skills are the foundation of your work.

But creating a private practice that supports both your clients and your life requires learning how to:

✨  Market your services in a way that feels authentic and ethical

✨  Set fees that allow you to care for clients and yourself

✨  Understand the financial side of running a business

✨  Create systems and routines that make your practice feel manageable

✨  Make thoughtful business decisions with confidence

If you have ever felt like you are doing everything right clinically but still feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck…

You are not alone.

The problem isn’t that you aren’t capable.

The problem is that no one taught you.

Let’s unlearn the things that keep therapists stuck in private practice.

Somewhere along the way, many therapists learned:

“I shouldn’t care too much about money if I truly care about helping people.”

“Marketing means being salesy.”

“I need to have everything figured out before I begin.”

“Successful business owners are just naturally good at business.”

But I believe something different.

You can care deeply about your clients and build a financially healthy practice.

You can market your work with integrity.

You can learn business skills without changing who you are.

You don’t need to become a different person to build a private practice.

You need support learning the skills, trusting yourself, and giving yourself permission to grow.

My approach to private practice coaching

Building a private practice is about more than learning business strategies.

It is also about learning how to trust yourself as a business owner.

My approach focuses on helping therapists:

Build a sustainable private practice.

Create a business that supports the people you serve while also supporting the life you want to live.

Manage your mind while growing your business.

Learn how to navigate fear, uncertainty, self-doubt, and the thoughts that often come with entrepreneurship.

Believe you can serve people and create financial stability.

Helping people and building financial security are not opposites.

You can do both.

Meet Amy

I’ve spent over 10 years helping people heal as a therapist.

Somewhere along the way, I realized I became just as passionate about helping therapists build fulfilling careers as I was about helping my clients heal.

When I started my own private practice, I experienced firsthand how much of the business side I had to figure out on my own.

Marketing. Finances. Systems. Pricing. Business decisions.

And as I talked with other therapists, I realized I wasn’t the only one.

So many incredible therapists felt prepared to help clients—but not prepared to build a business.

That doesn’t mean they weren’t capable.

It meant they had never been taught.

That is why I created Amy Basham Coaching: to provide the roadmap and support I wish existed when I was building my own practice.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

Building a private practice is exciting.

It is also challenging.

There will be moments of uncertainty. Decisions that feel overwhelming. Thoughts that make you question whether you are doing it right.

But growth does not require having everything figured out.

It requires learning, adapting, and trusting yourself along the way.

You are capable of building a private practice.

You were simply never taught how.
